Job Full Description:
Management Leadership for Tomorrow prepares men and women of color to secure high trajectory post-college jobs that deliver economic mobility for their families, and then provides the social capital they need to become high-impact senior leaders who can transform our institutions and vulnerable communities.  Spanning college through mid-career, MLT’s programs have driven breakthrough results for more than 8,000 underrepresented minorities and 130+ partner organizations including leading corporations, social-sector organizations and universities.
The mission of MLT’s Career Prep Program is to prepare high-achieving minority college juniors for success in leading, business-related internships and jobs.
The Career Prep Accounting Fellowship Coach provides a success profile that outlines the skills and competencies required of accounting interns. The Accounting Coach will help develop an Audit and Tax-based career development curriculum, with primary responsibility for guiding Fellows successfully through the Accounting curriculum.
To succeed in this role, the Accounting Coach should have a strong understanding of the college and internship experience, with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills. The Accounting Coach must also have the ability to initiate relationships and build rapport with program Fellows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and coach a portfolio of 35-45 Fellows through our career management curriculum and through the development of and adherence to a personalized career roadmap
  • Track, manage and record fellow data and behavioral management in our database
  • Develop, revise and deliver content for any Accounting seminars and webinars
  • Collaborate with MLT to identify, educate and prepare Fellows for an internship at Deloitte
  • Read and evaluate applications and make recommendations for program admission
  • Recruit new Fellows into the program, not limited to, leading webinars for students and potential campus visits
  • Approximately 15 hours of work per week


  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional setting with a strong professional success profile
  • Demonstrated understanding of the bar for success in top organizations and how to coach Fellows to meet that bar
  • Experience tracking and reporting data
  • Passion for and track record of coaching college students and/or professionals
