Job Full Description:
Tower Life Properties, Inc. will employ a person who will be performing a variety of duties leading up to the preparing of monthly management reports.  Primary duties will involve:
  • preparing, entering and posting journal entries into the general ledger of our MRI real estate software system
  • preparing, entering and reconciling all fixed asset accounts using our Fixed Asset System (FAS)
  • preparing, entering leasing activity into our MRI real estate software system
  • reconciling general ledger accounts with a variety of sub-ledgers either in one of our software systems or using manual excel spreadsheets
Other immediate tasks will include:
  • preparing monthly sales tax reports
  • download and organize reports from Square
  • prepare and file personal property tax reports
  • bank reconciliation
  • analyze general ledger accounts
  • review of payable distributions
  • administer the monthly closing of A/P, commercial management and general ledger
  • prepare annual Form 1099-Misc
  • prepare general information for annual audit
  • prepare as needed unclaimed property/checks with the state
  • provide back up and /or assist other personnel as necessary
  • accounting degree
  • candidate needs to have a moderate working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • prefer 2 - 3 years commercial or residential property accounting
  • prefer 5+ years accounting experience
  • STRONG organizational skills with ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data
  • Possess good personal and communication skills
  • MUST work in a team environment but also be self-motivated
  • no travel is required
