Senior Compensation Analyst requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four- year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Compensation
  • Current knowledge of compensation program designs, systems, market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Senior Compensation Analyst responsibilities

  • Administering company compensation programs across geographically diverse operations. Evaluating and analyzing salary data, recommending pay grades, and participates in compensation surveys.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy.
  • Complex projects and contributing to complex projects.
  • Ensuring that the company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Reporting within the Total Employee Rewards Department, this position will be instrumental in delivering on our Employee Value Proposition
  • Be a strategic, influential and collaborative partner with the various enterprise businesses and support groups
  • Participates in salary surveys and analyzes information reported in industry survey to ensure competitiveness
  • Writes job descriptions and makes recommendations for salary grades
  • Standard enterprise reports and ad hoc reports, as requested by leadership
  • Effectively communicate confidential information with leaders
  • Provide creative solutions and ideas when supporting the enterprise with compensation processes and procedures to support attraction and retention strategies that are consistent within a culture which values the whole employee
  • Participation in market salary surveys including job matching, data input, results analysis and reporting. Includes base salaries, bonuses, and long term incentives
  • Maintains files, records, and programs to capture, report, and analyze compensation data
  • Responsible for position management including job descriptions, titles, Occupation Codes, Rate Codes, and assignment to appropriate salary grades based on market and internal data
  • Administers the salary administration processes including annual merit review, out of cycle increases, promotions, and adjustments
  • Provides advice and counsel to management regarding salary and incentive plan issues including policy and guideline interpretation, new hire offers, internal equity, severance, and market adjustments
  • Involved in the recommendations for annual merit increase budgets and salary structure movement based on market data, our competitive positions, and budgetary constraints
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.

Senior Compensation Analyst preferred qualifications:

  • CCP certification
  • SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification
  • Experience in other Human Resources functions such as: Employment, Benefits, Training, etc.
  • General knowledge of, or experience working in, the Industrial Construction industry.
